- Scam / fraud05/10/2026
this number contacted me saying I had won a raffel first prize of $3000 dollars. Then asked for my banking details so they can deposit the funds into my account. Before I was about to do this, they asked me for some proof of ID to prove they would be paying the correct person the winning prize. They then told me I would need to download TeamViewer (to confirm my identity via face and holding my ID near my face via webcam) and that I would need AnyDesk software in order to sign a form they would share to me to sign, before they could approve the release of the prize winnings. They kept saying there was no cost to me and because they called at 7pm they also insisted I log into my bank to confirm the bsb and account number of my bank account the funds would be deposited into, just to make sure the details were correct, so there is no problems. (However I realised it was a scam when they insisted I only do this once AnyDesk was install and connected, which didn't make sense to me) so i hanged up and blocked the number.
